Spring Camp

From 15 to 23 March, Riga hosted Visit of Ukrainian children and young people, organised by “Mini pitch”, thanks to the support and funding of Ziedot.lv.

99 children and 10 teachers from Kharkiv and Donetsk regions came to Latvia to take a break from everyday worries and get to know Latvia better. During the nine-day event, participants went excursions to Riga, Sigulda, Turaida and Jūrmala, visited cinema, bowling and museums, and participated in take part in sporting activities and meet local young people. 

The event provided not only moments of joy and relaxation, but also an opportunity to forge new ties of friendship between Latvia and Ukraine. At the end of the camp, the children shared their impressed, thanked the organisers, said goodbye to for your new-found friends, and received Symbolic commemorative gifts from Latvia.
