To encourage the public to play sports and turn an active lifestyle into an enjoyable experience, a special event for children, young people and adults will take place on 25 September at the Playoff Arena entertainment and football hall in Riga, with various games and games from early morning until late evening.

Kristofers Ritovs, the author of the Playoff Arena idea: «The event will be held in cooperation with Riga City Council, which supports the organisation of various sports activities in the capital on a daily basis.

Thanks to the City Council, this time it will all be free. At 9:00 am, the hall will be taken over by kindergarten children for several hours, followed by schoolchildren, and in the afternoon we will welcome young people.

Meanwhile, the evening will be reserved for ladies, gentlemen and veterans until 22:00.

The response has been so great that more than 200 participants have already signed up in just a few days. You can still do so by calling the hall at 22553331!»

«Playoff Arena's sports experts have developed a special sports programme to keep both young and old entertained.

Children and young people will run relays, play games such as Fireball, Lord of the Rings, Tails, folk ball and, of course, football.

Playoff Arena's unique games such as football darts, bowling, golf, and well-known games such as table football and novuss will also be available for fun.

Adults will enjoy more 4-on-4 football and a sauna!

Ilvars Koscinkevivičs, Development Manager, Playoff Arena:
«In the three years since the opening of the indoor sports arena, we have welcomed hundreds of thousands of children, young people and adults. It is symbolic that this Playoff Festival takes place in autumn, marking the fourth year of Playoff Arena's life.

On 8 October, we will also start the new season of children's tournaments - more than 40 teams have already signed up for the first one. Latvians love to play sport, given the right conditions.

People from all over Latvia come here - children's and company parties, amateur footballers play in the evenings. When society talks about healthy eating, I always like to mention that sport should be on everyone's menu, just like breakfast, lunch and dinner. In our hall it certainly is!»

«The Playoff Arena is an entertainment arena with three football pitches, a sauna, changing rooms, a games area, fitness equipment, a café and sports broadcasting facilities.

It opened on 1 October 2020 at 6 Kauguru Street near Kalnciema Bridge, becoming the first and still the only mini-pitch football hall in the Baltics.

Up to 180 000 people visit it every year.
